Georgia payroll tax checklist for 2026

G-7 withholding, DOL-4N unemployment reports, the 0.06% administrative assessment and a 10-day new-hire deadline — everything on one page.

Withholding

File Form G-7 through the Georgia Tax Center on your assigned schedule (semiweekly, monthly or quarterly).
Reconcile annually with Form G-1003 and W-2s by January 31.

Unemployment (GDOL)

Wage base $9,500; new employer rate 2.7%.
Quarterly DOL-4N report and payment due the last day of the month after each quarter.
Administrative assessment of 0.06% applies to most employers on top of the SUTA rate.

New hires

Report within 10 days to the Georgia New Hire Reporting Program — shorter than most states.

Local taxes

Georgia has no local income taxes, but some cities require a business occupation tax certificate.
